Contractor & non-compete agreement

Read each section, initial it, then sign below. Non-compete: 25 mile radius for 12 months after your last job.

Select Steam LLC · Independent Contractor & Non-Compete Agreement · version 2026-09-v1 · today's date 11/2/2026. This agreement is signed electronically and a dated copy is kept on file for you.

1. Independent contractor status

I am an independent contractor, not an employee of Select Steam LLC. I control how I perform each job, I am responsible for my own taxes (including self-employment tax), and I receive no employee benefits, wages, overtime, or unemployment coverage. Accepting jobs is voluntary and Select Steam does not guarantee any amount of work.

2. Non-compete — 25 mile radius, 12 months

While I accept work from Select Steam, and for 12 months after my last completed job, I will not perform, market, or take payment for the same cleaning services I performed for Select Steam customers — for myself or any competing company — within a 25 mile radius of any Select Steam customer location I was assigned to or shown through the load board. This restriction is limited to those locations and services and does not stop me from doing unrelated work, keeping other lawful employment, or serving my own customers that I had before working with Select Steam.

3. No customer or crew solicitation — 24 months

For 24 months after my last completed job, I will not solicit, divert, or accept competing cleaning work from any Select Steam customer, property manager, cemetery, or facility I was introduced to through Select Steam, and I will not recruit Select Steam technicians away from the company.

4. No off-platform work or side payments

All work, scheduling changes, quotes, and payments for Select Steam customers go through Select Steam. I will not quote side jobs, accept cash or app payments directly from a Select Steam customer, or hand out my own business information on a Select Steam job. Any payment I receive directly will be turned over to Select Steam.

5. Confidentiality and customer privacy

Customer names, addresses, gate and alarm codes, pricing, photos, invoices, and load board information are confidential. I will use them only to complete the assigned job, will not share or post them, and will delete or return them when asked. I will follow customer privacy rules on residential, commercial, government, school, cemetery, and healthcare sites.

6. Conduct, safety, licensing, and insurance

I will show up on time in Select Steam uniform, follow safety and chemical-handling instructions, complete required before-and-after photos and sign-off, and carry any license, permit, or insurance my area requires for the services I accept. I am responsible for my own vehicle, tools, and any damage caused by my negligence, and I will report incidents immediately.

7. Background screening, term, and governing law

I consent to identity, reference, and background screening where the law allows. This agreement starts on the date I sign it and continues while I accept work. If any part of it is found unenforceable or broader than the law allows, that part is reduced to the maximum the law permits and the rest stays in force. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, and where local law limits or prohibits non-compete restrictions, the restriction applies only to the extent that law allows.

8. Electronic signature consent

I agree to sign electronically. My typed initials, typed legal name, and drawn signature are my legal signature under the U.S. E-SIGN Act and UETA, and have the same effect as ink on paper. I understand Select Steam keeps a dated copy of this signed agreement, and I may request a copy at any time.
